That's a Wrap!

Wow, I cannot believe that the entire program is over.

This past month went by so quickly. In the beginning of the month I took my MCAT, so I should get those results back in just a few days. I was surprised by how much the skills and information I learned in this program were beneficial to my MCAT. And then the past few weeks were spent finishing up our elective courses, so I had a few presentations and a couple more exams to take. I also finished up some volunteering with KIPP. And also a lot of time was spent applying to jobs for the upcoming gap year.

I just wanna reflect on this past semester as a whole. I got a lot accomplished. I got my personal training certification, I took our yearlong comprehensive final and I took my MCAT, all within 2 months. It was tough and I'm very thankful for the wonderful friends I have made in the program that helped me through it all.

The whole program was honestly incredible. The information was extensive and the classes were very difficult at times but they were also fascinating. The professors were extremely helpful and always there to answer any questions. The program coordinators were also very helpful and caring. I am very thankful for this opportunity and I think it will have benefitted me so much in the long run for applying to and attending medical school.

I am unsure if I will remain in New Orleans for the upcoming year but leaving will be bittersweet. I had an incredible time in this city and I hope to return some day (maybe even for medical school!). With that, I will bid adieu and also just want to wish anyone that may read this and that is applying to medical school, good luck!
